When was the 5th Semester result released?
The Calcutta University 5th Semester results have now been officially released. On April 1, 2026 the University announced that the results for the BA/BSc Semester 5 examinations (held in 2025) are available on cuexam.net and result.
These results cover both the CCF (Curriculum and Credit Framework) and CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) schemes. Students can view their scores by entering their 12-digit roll number. Physical mark sheets will be issued to the colleges starting April 8, 2026.

- Visit the official websites: cuexam.net or cuexamwindow.in.
- Locate the link titled “B.A./B.Sc. Semester-V Examinations, 2025 (Under CCF & CBCS)” on the homepage.
- Enter your 12-digit roll number (without hyphens, exactly as it appears on your admit card).
- On some portals, the first 3 characters of your name may be optional.
- Upon submission, your subject-wise marks and grades will be displayed.

What is the grading system or passing marks at CU?
Calcutta University’s grading system under CBCS/CCF is based on a 10-point scale. For each paper the final grade is calculated based on a combination of theory and internal assessment scores.
Under CBCS, the passing marks are typically 40% (including internal assessment); this means that for a paper worth 75 marks, one generally requires approximately 30 out of 75. Under CCF, this requirement may drop to as low as 30% for instance, 22.5 out of 75 and grace marks may be awarded if a student falls just short of the passing threshold.
